The Maine Tree Farm Committee would like to extend their utmost gratitude to Andy Shultz, former Committee Chair and long-standing Committee member, for his tireless efforts to support the program throughout the years. Andy has recently retired from the Maine Forest Service, where he served as Landowner Outreach Forester, but remains very involved in many woodland stewardship programs, including Tree Farm, and is a highly valued and respected member of Maine’s forest communities. At Maine Forestry Field Day, former Maine Tree Farm Coordinator Logan Johnson presented Andy with the American Tree Farm System Leadership Recognition Award in appreciation of all of Andy’s hard work. Andy received this award due to his outstanding service to the national, regional, and state Tree Farm programs as Maine Tree Farm Committee Chair from 2019 – 2020.
